The last several months have been quite busy down on the farm.  Many wonderful families have joined our program, as well as, many new volunteers!  The program continues to grow which only means one thing…..We need more horses!!  Last week, we were blessed with the arrival of a beautiful mare to join the herd!  Blanca (aka The Blues Sister- as she was known in the show world) arrived 1 week ago to spend her retirement serving children in a variety of ways.  This is quite a special horse and she has fit right in immediately.  Her love of children is apparent by her loving eyes, her patience, her intuition, and of course her tricks when you give her a treat.  Therapy horses and those that work with young children must fit a certain criteria- these horses are not easy to find.  Thank you to Gerri Lundergan, Blanca’s owner, for seeing these amazing qualities in her horse and allowing us to be trusted with this very special mare.  We are so excited to have her here!
